once again, it's the end of the month. most people would probably first think about it being the end of the year before the end of the month.
but not me. working in the mortgage industry, everything is in monthly cycles. it's weird how time really goes by fast when your frames of reference is specific dates of the month like the 1st, 11th, 15th, and 30th. Time just flies.
It's hard to imagine that I've been at this job for a year and 2 months.
I've been sort of burned out for the past several weeks, but I'm feeling like I might be getting my second wind, so I'll actually do some work while I'm at work.
today: working from 7 am to 8 PM. they have lunch and dinner catered in so that they can "encourage" us to not take our lunch hours. in the same way that they have mandatory overtime (which is technically illegal, but of course, if you don't do it, of course, they couldn't fire you for that, but I'm sure that it would reflect that you're not a "team player" and you'd get passed up for promotion...oh well, I'm not complaining, I've been down the road of unemployment and it is way worse than having for the most part a great job that has parts you don't like. )
anyway. good morning.
